About SIU Soccer
Southern Indiana United, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in September 2004 when Floyd County Youth Soccer Association (created in 1986) merged with Southern Indiana United Soccer Club (created in 1999) to form a club to organize and promote both recreational and select youth soccer teams. The Net-Surfers merged with Southern Indiana United in 2013 to form one club that offers recreational and competitive soccer for both boys and girls. Our Board of Directors consists of 9 officers who are elected to serve two-year terms plus a slate of commissioners and managers to manage the operations of the teams. Our board ensures the teams have the business and administrative support needed to succeed.
By working together, we provide strong recreational and select travel team programs to develop skills that last a lifetime. These programs provide a fun youth sports environment as well as the advanced training necessary for boys and girls to compete at higher levels. Southern Indiana United is a name that embodies our mission to serve the entire Southern Indiana soccer community. The unselfish and dedicated board members of the combined clubs are committed to developing the best soccer club possible.
Southern Indiana United’s vision is to become a model soccer club that enables players of all ages and abilities to meet their fullest potential through travel and recreational soccer programs.
Southern Indiana United’s mission is to provide its members with a quality, safe and fun soccer experience that results in a love and respect for the game. We will develop our players, coaches, referees, parents and teams through continuous educational and training opportunities. We will be a dedicated community partner that continues to support the growth of soccer in our community.

8U Developmental Training Program: Our Developmental Training Program is open to all boys and girls ages 8-9. Emphasis is on player development and not team results. The purpose of this program is to give players who express a desire to play soccer at a higher level (become a Travel Player) the opportunity to have additional training to prepare for the next level. See the Recreation tab for more information.
Select Soccer Program: Our Select Program is by tryout only and is for boys and girls ages 9-19. Tryouts are held in June each year and Select players, if chosen for a team, are required to commit to the team for both the Fall and Spring seasons. Some Select teams also participate in winter training. See the Select tab for more information.
Recreational Soccer Program: Our Recreational Program is for boys and girls ages 4-19 and is open to all, there are no cuts. We run a Fall session (late August thru end of October) and a Spring session (mid March thru Memorial Day). Deadlines to register are July 15 for the Fall and February 15 for the Spring. See the Recreational tab for more information.
